Ishaq Dar Flies To Turkiye To Lead Diplomatic Charge On Gaza At Arab Islamic Summit

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to fly to Istanbul on Monday to attend critical contact meeting of Arab and Islamic foreign ministers. The one-day visit, scheduled for November 3, comes at the personal invitation of Turkey’s Foreign Minister.

In a statement, Foreign Office said Dar will raise Pakistan’s firm stance on Gaza conflict, pressing for full implementation of the ceasefire agreement and demanding complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories, with special focus on Gaza.

Islamabad will also call for uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid and emphasize the urgent need for Gaza’s reconstruction.

Pakistani delegation is expected to push for a sovereign and independent Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.

Notably, Pakistan played an active role alongside seven other Arab and Islamic nations in this peace initiative, which culminated in the landmark signing of the “Gaza Peace Agreement” in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Foreign Office reiterated that Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to peace, justice, and the restoration of the dignity and self-determination of the Palestinian people, signaling its continued leadership in championing Palestinian rights on the global stage.
