An exhibition of photographs reflecting Indian forces’ crime against humanity and unabated oppression and suppression of the Kashmiri people in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) went open at the National Art Gallery, Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) here Tuesday.
The exhibition was arranged by Pakistan National Council of the Arts to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people in the IHK and would continue until the upcoming Kashmir Solidarity Day (Feb 5).
In the pictures, miseries and plight of the Kashmiris living in the IHK and to mobilize the international community to play their role to secure future to the Kashmiri people.
Parliamentary secretary on Kashmir Sobia Kamal Khan was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the exhibition.
In her inaugural address Sobia Kamal said Indian forces were committing unprecedented human rights violation in Kashmir to subjugate Kashmiri people.
The entire world particularly Pakistani people were supporting the Kashmiri brothers in their struggle for right of self-determination, said she.
The world is condemning the Indian policy against minorities and Kashmiris living in the IHK have been facing curfew for more then 5 months.
They are being deprived of basic human necessities and the photographs put on display narrated their stories of sacrifice and bravery.
She said Kashmiri people particularly youth were being subjected to severe torture but their resolve for the sake of independence and right of self-determination has not been shaken by these coercive measures.
Pakistan, she said, looked forward to the world to stop Indian brutalities in held Kashmir. About the photographs put on display, she said the impact of these photographs could be seen on the faces of those who had come to have a look at these photographs.
