In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, permanent employees of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department have threatened the authorities to go on strike on Sept 23, if their demands were not accepted.
Talking to media-persons in Jammu, senior members of PHE Employees United Front- Munish Sharma, Rajesh Jamwal, Baldader Raj Vaid, Davinder Singh and others said that on June 18 one-day `Kam Chhor Hartal’ was observed by the United Front projecting old pending demands of the employees.
They said it is unfortunate that the authorities failed to address the pending issues of the permanent employees and were just buying time. They regretted that the authorities were forcing them to agitate.—KMS
