Pharmacists can play Vital role in the improvement of healthcare facilities in the country says Dr. Amir Afaq Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad while addressing as chief guest at the two days “Ist National Conference on Current Updates in Pharmacy Profession and Research “here at Comsats University Abbottabad campus here on Monday.
More then fifty scientists and Research Scholars from all over the country are taking part in the conference where beside the conference; stall of different pharmaceutical companies with poster competition is also being arranged by the CUI. Dr. Amir Afaq quoted the example of USA where pharmacist play key role in the diagnosis of the diseases and through the latest research done by the experts and scholars, they had not only found the simplest and more accurate ways to treat the patients and un-expectedly results of the diseases has shown a lot of improvement while in Pakistan, there is dire need of the significant role of the Pharmacists in the especially health sector which will be a mile stone in the medical sector.
Pharmacy profession plays an important role in healthcare system both in the delivery and development of new drugs. Professor Dr. Taous Khan, Chairman of CUI Pharmacy Department in his welcome address spoke in length about the National Importance of the role of Pharmacists in every section of life and said that country is lacking behind this important sector which is so far neglected by the correspondent fields.
