The exports of pharmaceutical products from the country witnessed an increase of 22.87 percent during the first five months of financial year (2020-21) as compare to the corresponding period of last fiscal year. The country exported pharmaceutical product worth US $113.921 million during July-November (2020-21) as against the exports of US $92.717 million during July-November (2019-20), showing growth of 22.87 percent, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). In terms of quantity, the exports of pharmaceutical also rose by 25.68 percent by going up from 6,111 metric tons to 7,680 metric tons, according to the data.
Meanwhile, on year-to-year basis, the exports of pharmaceutical increased by 24.09 percent during the month of November 2020 as compared to the same month of last year.
