PHA sets up another Miyawaki Forest

The Parks and Horticulture Authority set up another Miyawaki Forest here in Lahore and Punjab Housing Minister Malik Asad Khokhar inaugurated Miyawaki Forest at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park.

Chairman PHA Engineer Yasir Gilani, Vice Chairman Hafiz Zeeshan, DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi and other officers were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, PHA DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi briefed the Minister for Housing regarding Miyawaki Forest.

Punjab Housing Minister Malik Asad Khokhar while briefing the media said that the Prime Minister was taking steps on war footing to control environmental pollution, adding that Pakistan is the countries, leading efforts to prevent global warming. The PTI is the only government that has taken record steps to control environmental pollution.

Miyawaki forests are being planted in different parts of Punjab. He said that 56,250 indigenous trees have been planted in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Miyawaki Forest set up over 50-kanal.

This Miyawaki forest is one of the largest Miyawaki forests in the world. Miyawaki Forest absorbs most of the carbon and rapidly reduces environmental pollution. Our future generations will see that we have left a healthy environment and a better country.
