The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has decided to build a new park over an area of 70 kanals in Shahdara. PHA Chairman Engineer Yasir Gilani, DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi and other officials visited the park site. According to the PHA chairman, the proposed park will be planned on modern lines with modern facilities for the residents of Shahdara.
The PHA Directors – Marketing, Engineering, Coordination and other officers concerned were also present on the occasion. On the occasion, the PHA chairman said that the PTI govt has taken various steps to protect the environment and control pollution. He informed that the 70 kanal area had been used only for dumping garbage which will now be turned into a park. He said that a park equipped with modern facilities would be constructed for the residents of Shahdara. PHA DG Jawad Ahmad Qureshi said that the provision of healthy activities and facilities to the citizens at parks is one of the top priorities of PHA. He said that under Clean and Green Lahore, PHA has been taking steps to make the city attractive.
