KARACHI – Petrol and diesel rates are expected to increase by up to Rs12-13 per litre from October 16, 2024 amid an increase in the margin of oil marketing companies and dealers, and changes in international market.

In the upcoming fortnight review, the federal government expected to jackup petrol and diesel prices. The anticipated surge comes as a response to rising crude oil prices in the international market.

Last month, import premiums on both MS and Diesel remained unchanged while the local currency also remained stable during this fortnight.
