ISLAMABAD – The Government of Pakistan announced a reduction in petroleum product prices, providing limited relief to consumers ahead of the upcoming pricing period beginning 13 June 2026.
According to the Petroleum Division, the revision is part of the government’s routine fortnightly pricing mechanism, which aligns domestic fuel rates with international oil market trends and exchange rate movements.
Under the latest adjustment, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs. 4 per litre, bringing the new rate down from Rs. 377.78 to Rs. 373.78. High Speed Diesel (HSD) has also been cut by Rs. 2 per litre, with the price revised from Rs. 380.78 to Rs. 378.78.
Officials said the adjustment reflects recent fluctuations in global crude oil prices and currency valuation, which continue to influence domestic fuel pricing.
The revised rates are expected to offer modest relief in transportation costs and may slightly ease inflationary pressure on essential goods and services. The new prices will remain in effect until the next fortnightly review is announced.
