Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather update; isolated rains likely in upper districts

PESHAWAR – Isolated rains and gusty winds are likely in upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and Tuesday.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over northern and western of the country.

Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber and Kurram on Monday night.

On Tuesday, mainly dry weather is expected in most plain districts of the province. However, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Chitral, Dir and Kurram.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Tuesday and 35-37°C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. The maximum temperature in Bannu was recorded at 37°C.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 47 per cent.
