ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed slight drop after international bullion rates edged lower, while silver prices posted gains in the local market.
As per Saraffa market, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs500 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs427,936. The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs428, settling at Rs366,886.
Internationally, gold prices also moved lower. The global bullion rate slipped by $5 per ounce to $4,055, including a premium of $20, influencing prices in Pakistan’s domestic market.
In contrast, silver prices continued their upward movement. The price of silver rose by Rs60 per tola, taking the local rate to Rs6,351.

Recent market data shows gold prices have fluctuated sharply over the past two weeks. The per-tola rate stood at Rs432,036 on July 23 before easing to Rs427,436 the following day.
It climbed to Rs427,736 on July 25 and touched Rs431,736 on July 27 before declining to Rs427,436 on July 28. Prices slipped further to Rs426,436 on July 29, recovered to Rs427,436 on July 30, jumped to Rs428,436 on Monday, and fell back to Rs427,936 on Tuesday.
Silver prices also witnessed fluctuations during the same period. The metal was priced at Rs6,370 per tola on July 23, dipped to Rs6,309 on July 24 and Rs6,297 on July 25, before climbing to Rs6,397 on July 27. It then eased to Rs6,223 on July 28, rose to Rs6,291 on July 29, slipped to Rs6,215 on July 30, and increased to Rs6,351 on Tuesday.
