Posters have appeared in Srinagar and other areas reading slogans against the divisive and anti-Kashmir policies being pursued by the ruling BJP and RSS nexus in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters were displayed Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement, Nawjawanan-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Movement, Resistance Youth Forum J&K and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Resistance Party. The posters said that on August 5, 2019, the Modi-led Hindutva government revoked Article 370 and 35 A in violation of the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, and im-posed a brutal military and police siege in the territory.
The posters urged the UN Security Council to take cognizance of the war crimes being perpetrated by Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir and help resolve the Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.
They pointed out that the silence of the international community has emboldened New Delhi to continue its brutalities in the occupied territory.
The posters has advised people to be very vigilant and not sell their land or any property to outsiders at any cost adding that the BJP regime with help of Indian army is changing demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir.
The posters while expressing deep and serious concern over attempts being made to weaken the Muslim identity strongly regret activities being implemented aimed at furthering the Hindutva agenda in Kashmir valley and Muslim dominated areas of Jammu region. Serious resentment has been expressed against introduction of Hindutva way of morning prayers in educational institutions wherein Muslim students are made to chant Hindu Bhajans.—KMS
