PCB’s League Commissioner Naila Bhatti resigns

NailaBhatti, working as League Commissioner in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Friday tendered her resignation citing “personal engagements”,. According to sources, Naila Bhatti has been working in the PCB for quite a long time.

She had initiated her work for Pakistan Super League (PSL) under former Board chiefs NajamSethi and Zaka Ashraf.

It may be mentioned here NailaBhatti was the second PCB official in as many days to quit her post. On Thursday, DrSohailSaleem, Director of Medical and Sports Sciences, has tendered his resignation, which has been accepted by the PCB after an independent three-member Medical Committee’s report showed negligence in the diagnosis of fast bowler Ihsanullah’s injury.

The independent three-member Medical Committee, comprising Prof. RanaDilawaizNadeem, DrMumraizNaqshband and Prof. JavedAkram, tasked with reviewing the handling of fast bowler Ihsanullah’s right elbow injury and recommending next steps, submitted its detailed report to PCB Chairman MrMohsinNaqvi Thursday.—INP
