LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday started preparations to create a spin-friendly pitch for the upcoming Test match in Rawalpindi, aiming to take advantage of home conditions.

A team of selectors, including former fast bowler Aqib Javed, visited the Rawalpindi Stadium to meet with renowned pitch curator Tony Hemming, with the goal of establishing a pitch conducive to spin bowling so the national team can benefit from playing on home ground.

Pakistan beat England in Multan Test

In the second Test match of the series played in Multan, Pakistani spinners Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali took 20 wickets combined, leading the Green Shirts to victory.

The third and final Test match of the series between Pakistan and England is scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi on October 24.

Besides it, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has delegated full authority for selecting the playing eleven for the third Test to a five-member committee, which will consult with the head coach and captain.
