The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given their consent to reschedule two matches involving Pakistan in the Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

The originally scheduled match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, planned for the 12th of October in Hyderabad, is set to be preponed by two days. It will now be held on the 10th of October at the same venue.

The highly anticipated India-Pakistan match, a highlight of the tournament, was initially slated for the 15th of October in Ahmedabad. However, in consideration of the first day of Navratri, a festival observed with widespread participation in Gujarat, security agencies recommended a change in the itinerary. As a result, the India-Pakistan clash is likely to be rescheduled to the 14th of October.

The PCB has responded to the Indian cricket board, confirming that they have no objections to these schedule adjustments. The BCCI, in collaboration with officials from the International Cricket Council (ICC), will soon release an updated schedule to accommodate these changes.

Pakistan’s current schedule for the ICC World Cup 2023:

October 6 – vs Netherlands in Hyderabad

October 12 – vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad

October 15 – vs India in Ahmedabad

October 20 – vs Australia in Bengaluru

October 23 – vs Afghanistan in Chennai

October 27 – vs South Africa in Chennai

October 31 – vs Bangladesh in Kolkata

Nov 4 – vs New Zealand Bengaluru (Day match)

November 12 – vs England in Kolkata.
