Government of Sindh the buses started their journey on the 36 km long route from Gulshan-e-Hadeed to Malir Cantt check post no.5 from Wednesday. On the first day, 10 buses are plying on the route. While a total of 20 buses have been allocated for the route.
With start of bus service safe and comfortable public transport facilities provided to the citizens of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Pipri, Shah Latif Town, Quaidabad and adjourning areas and citizens expressed happiness over the launch of People’s Bus Service on the Gulshan-e-Hadeed route .
The formal inauguration of route was performed by Secretary Transport Abdul Halim Shaikh. citizens of Gulshan-e-Hadeed , local leaders of Pakistan People’s Party and officers of Sindh Mass Transit Authority and National Radio Transmission Company attended the ceremony.On this occasion, the Transport Secretary Abdul Haleem Shaikh said that our plan was to start the People’s Bus Service in the central areas of the city first.
Now people’s bus service is also being extended to the suburbs of Karachi.
