On the issue of amending Civil Code, the Punjab Bar Council called for a complete strike in the courts across the province.
A judicial boycott was announced against the application of the Civil Code Amendment to the Civil Courts, the Vice Punjab Bar Council and the Chairman Executive Committee called for a strike. Punjab Bar Council officials have said that the lawyers are against the application of the Civil Code Amendment Code in the civil courts and the lower courts across the province will not appear against its application. The bar officials have demanded that the decision to apply Diwani in the civil courts should be withdrawn.
