Renowned Pashto singer Kafayat Shah Bacha was killed and a child injured in firing here on Friday.
According to details, armed men of rival group sprayed bullets at Pashto singer Kafayat Shah soon after he entered a mosque in Swabi to offer ‘Juma’ prayers.
As a result of firing, the Pashto singer and a child were injured and rushed to hospital where Kafayat Shah succumbed to his wounds.
The body was handed over to heirs after postmortem and police, registering a case into the incident, started an investigation.
