A memorandum of understanding was signed between PARC-PATCO Company and Agricol Company (Pvt) Ltd. on Thursday. By mutual agreement the signatories Dr. Muhammad Amjad CEO, PATCO, and Anwar Panazai, CEO Agricol Company (Pvt.) Ltd. signed this MoU at PARC Headquarters.
Agricol Pakistan is an agriculture based private company, as it aims at offering solutions in the seed production and multiplication therefore PARC-PATCO together with this company will work in production, multiplication, processing, certification, testing, quality management of approved varieties/hybrids of oil seed crops, fodder& forages, cereals, vegetables, fruits, medicinal and aromatic plant species. Under this agreement promotion and dissemination of planting materials produced through tissue culture technologies will be ensured with mutual understanding.
According to Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan, Chairman PARC, they are already producing basic seed and quality seeds of approved varieties. With this agreement the production capacity of PARC for the crop commodities will be enhanced and multi-locational seed production will be undertaken. These will be acquired by Agricol Company (Pvt.) Ltd.
