PARC and IPO jointly organized a seminar on awareness about protection and commercialization of intellectual property rights, on Wednesday at NARC.
The initiative was taken in reference to recently inked MOU between Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, Islamabad and Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan to promote and commercialize agriculture innovations and brands.
PARC and IPO have agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of Geographical Indications for boosting agricultural products.
Through joint awareness raising sessions, the procedures involved in drafting patent applications, its filing, Trade Mark, Copy right and Industrial design filing process and other IP issues will be resolved.
Moreover, information on IP aspects of commercialization and licensing will be shared as well, said Chairman PARC Dr. Azeem Khan while speaking at the workshop.
