PAL unveils event to celebrate Independence Day

In order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan beginning from August 2021, Pakistan Academy of Letters is organizing 75 special events.

The events are organized under Pakistan Diamond Jubilee programme under that various seminars, dialogues and poetry related to Pakistani literature will be held.

These celebrations will start on Friday (today) and will continue till 14th August 2022. The first event in this series, “Discussion of Pakistaniness in Urdu Literature” will be held on August 13 (today) at 3:00 PM in the Conference Hall of PAL.

Dr. Ehsan Akbar will preside over the seminar. Prof. Jalil Ali will be the chief guest while Ayaz Gul will be the guest of honor.

Dr. Yousuf Khushk, Chairman, PAL will give the introductory speech. Dr. Khalid Abbas Al-Asadi, Sabahat Asim Wasti, Yashp Tamana and Naeem Fatima Alvi will express their views on the topic. The moderator will be Mehboob Zafar.

The event will be organized in collaboration with the literary and cultural organization Zawiyah.
