Pakistan received $3.6 billion in workers’ remittances in July 2026, marking a 13% increase year-on-year and a 4.5% rise from the previous month.
According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday, Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances, sending $913.9 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with $737.3 million, the United Kingdom (UK) with $555.5 million and the United States with $317.2 million.
Pakistan had received $3.5 billion in remittances in June 2026, while inflows peaked at $4.3 billion in May.
During fiscal year 2025-26, overseas Pakistanis sent home a record $41.6 billion, up 8.6% from $38.3 billion in FY2024-25.
The July inflows were broadly in line with the monthly trend recorded during the previous fiscal year. Remittances stood at $3.8 billion in March, $3.5 billion in April, $4.3 billion in May and $3.5 billion in June.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the UK and the US remained the principal sources throughout the year, underscoring the continued importance of these four markets to Pakistan’s external inflows.
The strong start to FY2026-27 comes as overseas workers’ remittances continue to provide vital support to Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves and external account.
