KARACHI – Pakistan has rolled out state-of-the-art suicide drone that comes with night Vision and extended flight time and is capable of doing precision strikes.
The new tech drones were unveiled at the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) in port city, showcasing its ability to perform precise strikes on enemy targets, including tanks, helicopters, and military installations.
These drones are developed by Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), this new drone is capable of reaching an altitude of 6,000 feet and carrying out precise strikes using 60mm and 81mm bombs.
This is the first foray into suicide drone technology, after the latest advancements in surveillance and combat drone systems. These suicide drones are loaded with thermal imaging and hybrid electric propulsion system, allowing for a significantly extended flight time of 4-5 hours, compared to earlier models which only lasted 30-40 minutes.
It can also detect heat signatures from enemy personnel, vehicles, or installations in total darkness, enhancing its operational efficiency. They are capable of flying close to the ground, ensuring precise targeting.
These drones are said to be more expensive conventional weapons, offering an efficient way to neutralize high-value targets like tanks and helicopters.
The versatile drone is designed not only for precise strikes but also for aerial surveillance and kamikaze missions, making it a valuable addition to defense capabilities.
