LAHORE – Pakistan’s batter Mohammad Rizwan has sent a written response to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), questioning the reasons for his appearance before the agency and the continued retention of his mobile phone.

The sources said that Mohammad Rizwan sent his response to the NCCIA through courier after being contacted by the cybercrime investigation agency.

The development comes as the NCCIA continues its inquiry involving national cricketers. Rizwan’s response is expected to become part of the record as the agency proceeds with its investigation.

In his letter, the cricketer raised several questions regarding the inquiry and sought clarification about the purpose of his summons.

Rizwan questioned why he had been called by the agency and asked authorities to explain the grounds for requiring his appearance.

He also asked why his mobile phone had not yet been returned to him.

The Pakistan cricketer further sought clarification over an alleged disciplinary violation, asking the agency to specify what rules or disciplinary provisions he was accused of breaching.

Rizwan also questioned the reason behind the agency’s decision to summon him, seeking details about the nature of the matter under investigation.
