Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif offers condolences to Iran’s Khamenei on President Raisi’s demise

Prime Minister of Pakistan has extended his condolences to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after the tragic demise of President Ebrahim Raisi.

The memorial service for Raisi and other officials who died in Sunday’s crash commenced at the Iran International Conference Center in northern Tehran.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined other delegations from countries such as Jordan and Oman, honoring Raisi and the other officials. PM Sharif arrived in Tehran on a day-long visit to extend condolence with Iranian Government and people over martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raeesi and other dignitaries in helicopter crash.

Iranian Minister for Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazarpash welcomed the Prime Minister on his arrival at Tehran International Airport.

Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying the Prime Minister.

The premier will also call on acting president  Mohammad Mokhber, to convey condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
