LAHORE Pakistani doctors are earning recognition for their skills worldwide including in the UK and the US. Dr. Saleem Tareen is one of them who made significant contributions to the medical field in the UK while also serving the Muslim community. Dr. Saleem Tareen worked tirelessly to support the mental health of non-English-speaking refugees in the UK.
In recognition of his efforts, he was awarded the Member of the British Empire (MBE) by King Charles in a grand ceremony. Dr. Saleem Tareen is an alumnus of Nishtar Medical College and is closely related to renowned medical professionals such as Dr. Ejaz Tareen from King Edward Medical College, Dr. Khalida Tareen, and Mrs. Hamida Tariq, the principal of Wise College.
