Weather played spoilsport as the second T20I between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was abandoned without a ball being bowled in Dambulla on Friday evening.
Earlier, the toss was delayed due to intermittent rain and a wet outfield. As the conditions did not improve, the officials announced abandoning the match without a ball being bowled.
Pakistan lead the three-match T20I series 1-0 after winning the opener in Dambulla last Wednesday by six wickets. In the comeback game after injury, all-rounder Shadad Khan shines both with the ball and the bat to enable the Green shirts clinch a convincing win over the hosts.
The third T20I will be played at the same venue on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
