To strengthen the bilateral partnership in the maritime sector, Pakistan and Turkiye conducted joint naval exercises in north Arabian Sea.
A statement issued by Navy said a joint naval exercises was held in northern Arabian Sea. This followed a “goodwill” visit by the Turkish Navy ship TCG Kinaliada.
The drill involved coordinated patrols and various naval operations, including defense against asymmetric threats, visit board search and seizure, and air defense. These drills aimed to enhance professional skills and improve interoperability between the two navies.
Pakistan-Turkiye Naval Drills
During Turkish Navy’s port visit, Vice Admiral Ibrahim Ozdem Kocer led delegation that met with Pakistan Navy commanders to discuss mutual interests and explore future collaborations. The delegation also honored Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, by laying a floral wreath at his Mausoleum in port city.
Pakistan Navy highlighted that this visit reflects the strong, historically warm relations between Pakistan and Türkiye. It is anticipated that the visit will further bolster the existing ties and cooperation between the two nations’ navies.
