Pakistan Saudi Leaders Vow Stronger Cooperation

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held high-level telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, strongly urging unity and harmony across the Muslim Ummah at a time of growing regional and global challenges.

According to statement issued by PM Office, the conversation was termed as “very warm and cordial.” During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, while expressing deep appreciation for the Saudi crown prince’s continued goodwill and support for Islamabad.

Both leaders reaffirmed their shared resolve to further strengthen long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, noting that bilateral relations have reached new heights in recent months. The discussion reflected the close strategic partnership between Islamabad and Riyadh, rooted in decades of mutual trust and cooperation.

The premier and MBS also exchanged views on evolving regional situation and wider international developments. Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that unity within the Muslim world had become more critical than ever amid ongoing challenges. Reiterating Pakistan’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, he stressed that regional peace and stability could only be ensured through dialogue, diplomacy, and collective efforts.

Saudi leaders thanked prime minister for call and reaffirmed Kingdom’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan across all areas of mutual interest. He also expressed his intention to undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the coming year, signaling further momentum in bilateral engagement.

Sharif also held an important meeting with Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, during which regional and global developments were discussed in detail.

PM conveyed his warm regards to King Salman and MBS, expressing satisfaction over strength and depth of Pakistan-Saudi relations. Ambassador Al-Malkiy delivered warm greetings from Saudi leadership and reiterated Riyadh’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Pakistan in all fields of shared interest.

Reaffirming his strong commitment to further deepening bilateral ties, the premier hailed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for patronage and consistent support, saying it had brought the two brotherly nations closer than ever before.

The premier recalled his multiple meetings with Saudi leader over past year, terming them as highly productive. He expressed deep appreciation for KSA’s support for Pakistan during difficult times. The meeting concluded with a renewed emphasis on maintaining regional peace and stability through sustained dialogue and diplomacy.
