Pakistan Saudi Arabia Vow To Strengthen Bilateral Maritime Cooperation

ISLAMABAD – Vice Admiral Abdulrahman Al-Ghoraibi, Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, called on Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad during an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral maritime and defense cooperation on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival, Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi was presented with a ceremonial guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy.

During the meeting, the two naval chiefs discussed matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional maritime security landscape, and ongoing bilateral collaboration. Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s efforts for regional peace and stability, particularly through initiatives such as Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP).

Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi appreciated Pakistan Navy’s contributions to maritime security in the region and commended the professional training provided to Saudi cadets at the Pakistan Naval Academy.

The both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening defense ties, with a focus on deepening naval cooperation.

The visit is expected to enhance military-to-military engagement and strategic alignment between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
