Pakistan recorded workers’ remittances inflow of $ 3.7 billion during August 2026.
According to the date shared by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Wednesday, remittances increased by 16.5 per cent on a year-on-year basis and 0.7 per cent on a month-on-month basis.
Cumulatively, workers’ remittances increased by 14.7 per cent during July-August FY27 to $ 7.3 billion, compared to $ 6.4 billion received during the same period last year.
The major corridors of workers’ remittances during August 2026 were Saudi Arabia ($ 873.5 million), UAE ($ 749.8 million), UK ($ 563.7 million) and USA ($ 308.9 million).
