ISLAMABAD – The federal government has booked a maximum number of LNG cargoes for December and January in order to tackle shortage of gas during the winter season.
The Ministry of Petroleum has shared the details about the orders to parliament during a meeting. Despite a shortage of natural gas in winter, the companies manage the supply of gas adequately during cooking hours.
Officials from the Ministry of Petroleum stated that to meet the gas demand in winters, the maximum LNG cargoes have been booked for December and January. They revealed that currently, 10 LNG cargoes are imported monthly.
The government is focusing on fulfilling demand from various sectors in winter by placing maximum orders for RLNG and involving Sui Gas companies in the distribution of LPG cylinders to their customers.
