Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer Faisal Zahid Malik has ex-pressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing of former Amir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, paying rich tribute to his vi-sionary leadership, statesmanship and remarkable services for the development and prosperity of Qatar.
During a meeting with Second Head of Mission of the Embassy of Qatar Mr Essa Mohammed Al-Dasam Al-Kubaisi, Faisal Zahid Malik, on behalf of Pakistan Observer and himself, conveyed heart-felt condolences to the Royal Family, the govern-ment and the people of Qatar over the sad demise of Sheikh Hamad, who was widely revered as the “Fa-ther Amir”.
While recording his remarks in the condolence book, Faisal Zahid Malik said Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani would always be remembered as an exceptional leader whose wisdom, vision and dedication transformed Qatar into a modern, pros-perous and internationally respected nation.
He said the late Father Amir played a historic role in strengthening state institutions, promoting economic growth, advancing education and social develop-ment, and enhancing Qatar’s role in regional and global affairs. “His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was a leader of great foresight and determination whose efforts brought remarkable progress and prosperity to Qatar,” he said.
Faisal Zahid Malik added that Sheikh Hamad’s commitment to peace, dialogue and international cooperation earned him immense respect across the world. Highlighting the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar, he said the people of Pakistan would always remember the late Amir’s affection, goodwill and contributions towards strengthening bilateral ties between the two coun-tries. He said Sheikh Hamad’s visits to Pakistan and his efforts to promote cooperation reflected his sincere commitment to the friendship between the two brotherly nations.
Faisal Zahid Malik prayed that Almighty Allah may shower His blessings and mercy upon the departed soul and grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. He also prayed for patience and strength for the Royal Family, the Qatari leadership and the people of Qatar to bear this irreparable loss. He also expressed condolences over the passing of the father of Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater.
