Pakistan new ambassador to Canada Zaheer Janjua assumes his charge



Pakistan’s new ambassador to Canada, Zaheer Aslam Janjua, who has extensive experience in the field of diplomacy, has taken up his post and diplomatic responsibilities.

According to details, Zaheer Aslam Janjua, while accepting his responsibilities as the new ambassador to Canada, said that our mission would be to serve Pakistanis residing in Canada and Canadian citizens of Pakistani origin.

It should be noted that Zaheer Aslam Janjua has served the country for a long time in the field of diplomacy. He has also served as ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, the Russian Federation, and Belarus.

Zaheer Aslam Janjua has held the post of Addi-tional Secretary (Europe) in the Foreign Ministry. After assuming office, the National Ambassador pledged to strengthen Pak-Canada relations.

In his message on social networking site Twitter, the new Pakistani ambassador to Canada, Zaheer Janjua, said, “As Ambassador to Canada, I am committed to strengthening Pak-Canada relations.” Earlier, US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome took the oath of office. He has extensive experience in international diplomacy.

US Ambassador-designate Donald Blome re-cently took the oath of office. It was decided to send him to Islamabad soon to carry out other professional matters including the promotion of Pak-US rela-tions.—PR
