ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Navy’s top brass discussed strategic Maritime Security Measures at a key Conference held at Naval Headquarters.
The huddle was chaired by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, as officials reviewed the maritime situation in the North Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden, focusing on strategies to ensure the safety and security of national sea trade routes in these regions.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics, including the geo-strategic environment, national security, operational preparedness, training, and the welfare of Navy personnel.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf received detailed briefings on key ongoing and upcoming projects within the Pakistan Navy. Admiral Ashraf expressed confidence in the Navy’s combat readiness and its crucial role in maritime security. He emphasized the importance of enhancing maritime security and maintaining high levels of combat preparedness to counter potential threats to Pakistan.
He also highlighted the need for acquiring advanced capabilities and leveraging indigenous resources to address modern maritime challenges.
The Command & Staff Conference, the Navy’s top decision-making body, involves the Chief of the Naval Staff, Principal Staff Officers, and Field Commanders in shaping and reviewing naval policies and plans.
