Pakistan launches real-time monitoring of passport applications, deliveries

ISLAMABAD – The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has introduced a new system that allows real-time tracking of passport applications and deliveries, both in Pakistan and internationally.

As per the directive of the Director General of Passports, a dedicated monitoring room has been set up at the headquarters, operating 24/7. The system is equipped with a digital integrated dashboard for continuous monitoring and evaluation of daily operations.

With this new monitoring system, each stage of the passport application process—from submission to delivery—will be tracked.

The system will also automatically identify any surges in demand at passport offices, ensuring better resource management and customer service.

Additionally, the system will monitor staff performance, the passport printing process, backlog, and machinery status, ensuring efficiency and accountability across all stages.

This new initiative aims to improve transparency and efficiency, significantly reducing delays and enhancing the overall passport application experience for citizens.
