In a way the two ambassadors have set example for the common Pakistanis to learn how they can become good, responsible and productive citizens.
Azerbaijani ambassador Ali Alizade in a post on Facebook uploaded a picture in which the young ambassador can be seen planting a sapling in the embassy’s premises.
Dressed in black shirt and trousers, the envoy is assisted by an official of the embassy and the picture shows they are taking care the plant is firmly rooted in a corner of the embassy’s lawn. They are doing all this despite it being an off day only to show how important it is to plant trees and fight negative impact of climate change on our lives.
Ambassador Alizade in his post writes he is “pleased to join the initiative and call of PM Imran Khan for tree plantation campaign across Pakistan today.”
Azerbaijan always supports actions against Climate Change & Global Warming, and constantly makes its contributions, further writes the young ambassador.
German Ambassador too, in a show of solidarity with the people of Pakistan has posted two pictures on his twitter account: picture of a book titled “Mr & Mrs Jinnah: The Marriage that Shook India” by Sheela Reddy and his own picture while reading the book.
It being the month of the independence of Pakistan, German Ambassador’s post has also become an instant hit and netizens have liked and commented on it.
In the script that goes along with the pictures, the German ambassador tells the book left lasting impression on him particularly with regard to the towering personality of Mr Jinnah.
“Read an interesting piece of historical work on “Jinnah’s life” – a fascinating window into his personal & political struggles. There’s always so much to learn from this man of extraordinary resilience & unbending will!,” says the German ambassador.
In the end he asks a very pertinent question: “What are you guys reading this weekend? Any recommendations?”
