Pakistan day was celebrated on 23rd March 2022 at the Pakistan House Stockholm with zeal and fervour. The event was attended by Pakistani community members from all walks of life. The celebrations started with the flag hoisting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Zahoor Ahmed congratulated all Pakistanis on Pakistan day. He underlined the importance of the day and thanked all the guests to be a part of the celebration. He said that the gathering represented a cross section of the Pakistani Swedish community with members of the christian pakistani community, students, authors, professionals, businessmen and teachers being present. These people were contributing to the economies of both countries and were a symbol of our long standing ties.
Trade and Investment counselor Mr. Ghulam Mustafa read out the messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan on the occasion of Paki-stan day. A group of children sang national songs and made speeches on the occasion.
Pastor . Kamran Boaz and the choir from the Hallunda church in Stockholm also performed Na-tional songs which enthralled the audience . Senior Pakistani Swedish Christian leader Mr Emanuel Ratik presented the Ambassador with a momento of the Pakistan movement . The ceremony was con-cluded with prayers for prosperity of Pakistan.
