The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara marked Pakistan Day (March 23) with a dignified and graceful ceremony held at the Chancery, reflecting national pride and unity among the Pakistani community in Türkiye.
The ceremony began with Tilawat-e-Quran, setting a solemn and spiritual tone for the event. This was followed by the hoisting of the national flag, accompanied by the national anthem, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and reverence.
Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out, highlighting the historical significance of Pakistan Day and reaffirming the country’s commitment to democratic values, national unity, and progress.
Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Dr. YousufJunaid, emphasized the enduring importance of Pakistan Day 1940, recalling the vision, leadership, and determination that paved the way for the creation of Pakistan. He noted that the day serves as a powerful reminder of the nation’s resilience and unity, particularly during challenging periods in its history.
Ambassador Dr. YousufJunaid further underscored that sustainable progress and stability require collective effort, national cohesion, and unwavering commitment. He added that the same spirit that guided the founding generation continues to inspire Pakistan’s journey toward peace, development, and economic prosperity.
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the continued security, stability, and well-being of Pakistan, reaffirming solidarity with the homeland.
