ABBOTTABAD – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has once again warned that the Pakistan Army is fully determined to defend the motherland.
The DG ISPR said, “Any external aggression will be met with a strong and decisive response,”.
He made these remarks during an interactive session with faculty members and students from various universities in Abbottabad. A large number of teachers and students attended the session, where the DG ISPR discussed national security, the recent Pak-Afghan tensions, and other key issues including “Ma’rakah-e-Haq” (the battle for truth).
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif highlighted that Pakistan has taken effective measures against terrorism and the menace of Khawarij (extremist elements).
During the session, teachers and students paid rich tribute to the martyrs and war veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces for their sacrifices in ensuring national security and peace.
Hazara University Vice-Chanellor Dr. Ikramullah Khan said that the Pakistan Army is the true symbol of patriotism, always standing on the front lines for the nation’s defense, and that the academic community stands shoulder to shoulder with it.
Teachers expressed concern over increasing hostile propaganda aimed at misleading the youth and emphasized the importance of providing students with accurate and verified information.
The students said they were proud to belong to a country where institutions like the Pakistan Army continue to guide and inspire the young generation. They added that the DG ISPR’s detailed responses had dispelled misconceptions regarding national and provincial issues as well as the role of the armed forces, especially in countering false propaganda on social media.
