RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that the Pakistan Armed Forces are ready to sacrifice everything for the security and sovereignty of Pakistan.
The DG ISPR said that the Pakistan Armed Forces have fought and continue to fight a long battle against terrorism.
Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, he said, “This year has seen the highest number of terrorists eliminated compared to the last five years. The Pakistan Armed Forces have successfully foiled numerous terrorist plots and recovered a significant amount of weaponry during operations.”
He revealed that in the year 2024, 925 terrorists including several high-profile names were neutralized while 73 most-wanted terrorists were killed during operations.
He further stated, “Two suicide bombers were apprehended, and 14 wanted terrorists surrendered their weapons. During these operations, 383 officers and soldiers embraced martyrdom.”
The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan has made efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan. However, despite Pakistan’s extensive efforts, terrorists from Afghan soil are conducting attacks in Pakistan. He added, “The roots of terrorism trace back to Afghanistan, and we will spare no effort in dismantling terrorist networks,”.
