ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s interim government has announced a public holiday on February 5, 2024 on account of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
A notification issued by Interior Division on Friday said 1-minute silence would be observed on Feb 5 at 10 am to pay homage to martyrs of Kashmir.

Kashmir Day is observed every year on February 5 to express solidarity with the distressed people of Indian occupied Kashmir in their struggle for self-determination.
Kashmir Day, also known as Kashmir Solidarity Day, expressed solidarity with the people of the Himalayan region who are living under Indian authoritarian rule.
Kashmir Day is marked by different rallies, seminars, conferences, and prayers for people of Kashmir, and to raise awareness about the human rights violations in the region and to support the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
