ISLAMABAD – Pakistani are shocked as Porn terms appeared under website of Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) after an apparent hacking or changes made at backend.

The whole thing went viral after explicit content appeared in the description in top searches. Those who are searching for EOBI Pakistan are currently being shown government website preview containing adult language.

As we look deeper, the issue appears to be linked to a cyberattack. Those familiar with such situation claimed that EOBI’s portal might be using a compromised WordPress theme, which has been embedded with such code, allowing attackers to inject spam SEO links.

As these practices are common, such occurrence with federal statutory body raised eyebrows as EOBI is a federal welfare institution responsible for providing pensions and benefits to private sector employees across Pakistan working under Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.

Despite the public visibility of the issue, no official statement has been released by EOBI or the Ministry as of now. Cybersecurity experts are urging government institutions to audit their web infrastructure to prevent such breaches, which not only harm the institution’s credibility but also pose risks to users.

This incident raises serious questions about digital security protocols within public sector websites, especially those managing sensitive personal and financial data.
