Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the political parties to rise above their political differences and speak with one voice in support of oppressed Kashmiri people at this critical juncture.
Addressing the National Parliamentarians Conference on Kashmir here on Wednesday,
the Foreign Minister said Modi government has Akhand Bharat mindset and the gravity of situation demands sanity on our part. He said certain political forces should not blow the trumpet which hurts the interests of Pakistan and benefits India. He said those planning to organize Azadi March should turn it into Azadi March Kashmir.
Qureshi appreciated the Chairman Senate for holding this conference saying this gives the message that the elected representatives regardless of their differences are united for the Kashmiri people.
He said today’s leadership in Pakistan will not show any flexibility on Kashmir dispute. He said today we have the prime minister who will not make any compromise on the interests of Pakistan.
The Foreign Minister once again categorically stated that Pakistan stands fully behind their Kashmiri brethren. He said the world can turn its face from Kashmir but Pakistan never will. This, he said, is the decision of the nation and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will effectively present the case of Kashmiris before the upcoming session of UN General Assembly. He said the Prime Minister in his address will represent the aspirations of Pakistani and Kashmiri people.
Addressing the National Parliamentarians Conference on Kashmir, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani said, Pakistan will continue exposing Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing the moot, Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the media has played an important role in sensitizing the world about the exploitation of Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian authorities.
She said it is because of the media that the EU parliament discussed the Kashmir dispute after twelve years.
Speaking on the occasion, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider said India has hegemonic designs in the region and Pakistan is the only obstacle in its way.
Addressing the Conference on Kashmir, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said diplomatic success that Pakistan has achieved on the Kashmir issue is historic as it is being debated at every international forum. She said first time ever European Parliament conducted debate on the issue with the stance to pressurize India for imposing economic sanction.
Shireen Mazari said India is committing ethnic cleansing of Muslims in Occupied Kashmir.
She said, “we will try to demand the legal opinion of ICJ over the issue through General Assembly in its session being held later this month.”
She urged United Nations to make a humanitarian corridor for the provision of medicines and food to Kashmiris in the held valley. Addressing the Conference, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Khan Gandapur paid tribute to the brave people of Indian Held Kashmir, who are facing the Indian atrocities since seven decades.
He said Pakistan will effectively highlight the Indian real face before the world as the incumbent government is raising the vice of Kashmiris on every forum of the globe.
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan urged the world powers, UN Security Council and the Human Rights Council to play their role in ending human rights violations committed by India in Occupied Kashmir.
Masood Khan appreciated the role of China, Turkey and Iran for raising voice against Indian aggression in IOK.
