WELLINGTON – New Zealand’s all-rounder, Josh Clarkson, has been sidelined from the T20 series against Pakistan due to a shoulder injury, as confirmed by New Zealand Cricket.
Originally slated to join the team for the third T20 match against Pakistan, Clarkson sustained the injury during a domestic match.
Following Clarkson’s setback, Will Young has been drafted into New Zealand’s T20 squad, set to join the team after the second T20 match against Pakistan on Sunday.
In the meantime, Captain Williamson will sit out the third match against Pakistan, returning for the final two T20 encounters.
It’s noteworthy that the second T20 match in the series between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for this Sunday, with Pakistan facing a 46-run defeat in the previous T20 match played yesterday.
