Pak Vision College, Huda Foundation among 41 sealed in Lahore

LAHORE—The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 41 illegal commercial buildings and premises that defaulted on commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and various housing schemes on Monday.

LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed 16 buildings in Gulberg and New Garden Town, 15 in Allama Iqbal Town, and 10 in Gulshan-e-Ravi and Samanabad during operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.

The sealed premises include Pak Vision College, Naveed Majeed Academy, Huda Foundation, Biryani & BBQ King, Al-Syed Biryani, grocery stores, food points, offices, and other businesses.

LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, supervised the operations carried out by the enforcement teams, assisted by the Police.

According to the LDA spokesperson, several notices were served on the owners of these buildings prior to the operations being carried out.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial buildings and non-payment of commercialisation fees in housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas.
