Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin-ul-Haque disclosed Thursday that Pakistan’s exports to China will double in the next three to five years.

He stated this during a visit at the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai.

The Ambassador said the Chinese and Pakistani traders are confident about the market prospects of Pakistani Himalayan rock salt in China.

It is pertinent to mention that the CIIE has become a key platform where foreign companies can gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese market and seek investment opportunities as organizers of the exhibition claimed about 150,000 square meters of exhibition space has already been booked for next year’s China International Import Expo.

The organizers termed the development as an indication of industry leaders’ confidence in the Chinese market, organizers said in Shanghai as this year’s event closed.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director of the CIIE Bureau, said at a news conference that companies have booked booths for next year’s expo at a faster rate than for 2021.

The exhibition area this year was a record 366,000 sq m, up 6,000 sq m from 2020.—TLTP
