The Pakistani community in Miami USA is set to celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at a grand event scheduled for August 14 at the Coral Springs Centre for the Arts. The celebrations are being organized under the leadership of Islamic Centre President Mian Tahir Ismail, prominent community leader and business-man Chaudhry Shaukat Ali, and Dr M A Shahzad.
According to the organizers, the event will bring together members of the Pakistani-American community to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day with patriotic fervour. Special tributes will be paid to the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, the Founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and other national heroes for their invaluable contributions to the creation of Pakistan.
The cultural segment of the programme will feature renowned Pakistani singer Humaira Arshad, along with singer Khalid Baig , Meera Mir, and other artists, who will perform patriotic songs and entertain the audience with colourful musical performances.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Tahir Ismail, Chaudhry Shaukat Ali, and Dr M A Shahzad said that although overseas Pakistanis live abroad, their hearts always beat for the prosperity, progress, and stability of Pakistan.
We remain deeply connected to our homeland and pray for its continued peace, unity, and devel-opment. We are confident that Pakistan will emerge stronger and more prosperous, while those working against its interests will never succeed,” they said.
The organizers added that extensive prepara-tions for the Independence Day celebrations are already underway, and a large gathering of Paki-stani-Americans and families from across South Florida is expected to attend the event.—PR
