Pak-China Business Forum sees 32 MOUs signed in major boost for trade ties

Landmark developments were witnessed at Pak-China Business Forum as 32 Memorandum of understanding MOUs were signed in major boost for trade ties.

During the current visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan to China, Federal Minister for Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan met with CEOs of major Chinese companies.

Sharing his views, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that 500 companies from China and 100 from Pakistan participated in this Pak-China business forum, where 32 MOUs were signed alongside successful bilateral negotiations with Chinese companies.

Khan emphasized that this forum presents an excellent opportunity for the Pakistani business community to engage with their Chinese counterparts, encouraging investments that will ultimately boost exports. He further highlighted conference provided an optimal platform for fostering long-term business relationships between both sides. He mentioned that this forum also allows China to directly export to other countries.

Pakistan will fully support Chinese companies in establishing business activities, Aleem Khan said, saying private sector will be given complete freedom to invest in various sectors including Energy, Infrastructure Development, Farming, Engineering Construction, and Logistics.

He further noted the encouraging participation of prominent Pakistani businessmen in the visit to China, indicating that soon sectors such as Hotels, Tourism, Culture, Sports Goods, Textile, Decoration Industry, and Airport Designing will be prime areas for investment opportunities.

Minister asserted that Pakistan is abundant in potential and natural resources, making it feasible to promote business activities on a large scale with the right environment. This will drive economic growth and create employment opportunities for the youth.
