Taking notice of long queues of transport on motorway at Kala Shah Kaku, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday directed to establish more toll-booth so that the transporters may pass it quickly.
Currently, a vehicle has to spend 45 to 60 minutes while passing this toll plaza, said chairman PAC Rana Tanveer Hussain while taking audit paras of ministry of communication.
Members of the committee were of the view that in some toll plazas the vehicles wait for long times and urged that the issue should be address earlier.
however, the PAC recommended to fix the issue at Kala Shah Kaku toll plaza and reduce problem being faced by the motorists.
Chairman of the committee recommended that more toll-booth should be established at Kala Shah Kaku toll plaza within 15 days and submit a report to the committee.
The PAC reviewed audit report of National Highway Authority, Ministry of Communications for the year 2019-20.
